ACCEPTED STUDENTS

 

REGULATION
of admission organization and performance in the cycle of academic studies
in the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Targu-Mures for the 1st year, academic year 2010-2011

 

First Year - Academic Year 2010-2011

1. The citizens of the States members of the European Union, of those belonging to the Economic European Area and to the Swiss Confederation - can enroll - by dossier contest - in the English Programme - Medicine;

The dossier will contain the following documents:
a) Certificate of Studies ( 2 authenticated copies in the language of issuance + 2 authenticated translations in English or Romanian - both with the stamp of notary public)
b) Transcript of Records and Analytical Programme in case of applicants who request the recognition for partial studies (2 authenticated copies in the language of issuance + 2 authenticated translations in English or Romanian - both with the stamp of notary public)
c) Birth Certificate (copy of the original + translation, in English or Romanian)
d) Medical Analysis: HIV, MRF and VDRL - to provide when registering
e) Medical Record - vaccines and a certificate from the family doctor in the country of origin attesting that they do not suffer from any chronic or neuropsychological illnesses, contagious diseases or other illnesses not compatible with the future profession.
f) Health Insurance - copy
g) 2 Copies of the Passport (pages 1,2,3,4)/ Identity card ( 1 copy + 1 certified copy - with the stamp of notary public)
h) 4 Photographs ( passport type)
i) completed and signed Application Form
j) Application for Recognition, Required for Acceptance to Studies
k) Curriculum Vitae (C.V.), mentioning your contact details
l ) A copy of the receipt of payment of administration fee (150 Euro), which will be paid in the following account:

The applicants must prove their English proficiency (by presenting a recognized language certificate) or they must take an English proficiency test, after the period of registration has ended, on the premises of the university.
- Period for the English proficiency test: 27th of September
- Period of application: 15th of February - 30th of July
- Admission application deadline: July 30th, 2010
Applications will NOT be processed after this date.
- Dossier processing fee: 150 Euros (which will include the fee for the letter of acceptance)
- Tuition fee: 5000 Euro/ academic year, which can be paid in 4 equal installments

The applicants from the EU countries:
- Greece
- Ciprus
- Italy
- Portugal
- Spain
will present their study documents with the Apostille of the Hague.

2. The citizens of the States not members of the European Union, or belonging to the Economic European Area and to the Swiss Confederation:

The validation and the recognition of the certificates of studies is made by the National Center for Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas ( Centrul National pentru Recunoasterea si Echivalarea Diplomelor ) from MECTS (Romanian Ministry of Education, Research and Innovation). The documents shall be sent directly to the university, for an agreement of principle. The University sends the papers to the MECTS registry.
Admission to studies is granted without an admission examination on the basis of a dossier, containing the documents mentioned at point 1, exception, letter j. Instead, your file will have to contain an Application for the Issuance of the Letter of Acceptance to Studies, filled in and signed - 2 copies.

These documents must be authenticated by the Romanian Embassy in the issuing country or by the Apostille of Hague (depending on the case).

- Period for the English proficiency test: 27th of September

It is compulsory for the foreign citizens in this category to have their certificates of studies recognized and validated by the National Center for the Recognition and Validation of the Studies ( Centrul National pentru Recunoasterea si Echivalarea Diplomelor ) from MECTS (Romanian Ministry of Education, Research and Innovation).

Applicants from Algeria, Egypt, India, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria, and Pakistan shall send their documents exclusively to the Romanian diplomatic missions in the states mentioned above.

- The documents shall be sent directly to the university by mail, personally or by intermediaries, to the following address:

- E-mails will NOT be accepted.
- The applicants must prove their English proficiency (by presenting a recognized language certificate) or they must take an English proficiency test, after the period of registration has ended, on the premises of the university.

 

IMPORTANT:

- Name of successful candidates to study at our university will be displayed on the website of the university;
- We assume no responsibility for any delays in terms of issuing visas. Students will not be accepted to study in our university after the date of November 1st, 2010.
- The administration fee can also be paid at the University cashier, as an equivalent in lei. The administration fee (processing file fee) is not refundable.
- On your arrival in Romania, please submit the original documents:
a) original certificates of studies and transcript of records
b) medical analyses: HIV, MRF, VDRL
- Do not send original documents; legalized photocopies are acceptable
- Include a document describing the scoring system applied to educational institutions you have followed (mark equivalent)
- Documents written in other language than English will be translated into Romanian or English
- Processing of files is carried on as received
- Incomplete applications will not be assessed
- Document proof of payment should not be legalized but it must be translated in English or Romanian
- Please do not send applications via email
- Additions or changes to the applications will not be accepted after their submission to the university
- The University accepts no responsibility for the involvement and/or actions of intermediary organizations or such agencies.
